Masoor Dal |
Red lentils soup or masoor dal
Red lentils or masoor dal for dinner tonight. I
belong to central region of India and this region particularly Yeotmal district
is famous for tur dal or split pigeon peas. Obviously use of tur dal is more
than any other lentils in our meals. But sometimes you get bored with the usual
one. Today I was not in mood to eat tur dal. So, planned to cook masoor dal or
red lentils. There are many health and dietary benefits of having this lentil. First,
it helps to stabilize blood sugar levels. It is said to have anti-aging
properties. It is heart healthy. Also, easy to cook and digest. Today I made
this dal or lentil soup in my mom's way. Though it's difficult to get the exact
taste, I tried my best.
So here goes the recipe.
