Aloo Paratha |
Aloo Paratha jara hatke….
One more variety of the most favourite Paratha of
our family, Aloo Paratha. My kiddo is almost fade up with methi, palak and
similar parathas. Now a days he only likes stuffed aloo paratha. And to be
honest, situation is more or less similar with everyone in my family. But
something like partha is a complete meal itself. Have it with homemade pickle
and it tastes like heaven. Even though it's aloo ka paratha, if you have it in
moderation, no need to worry about weight gains 🙃🙃. (This is what I think and works well with me 😌😌).
So for making these succulent nourishing parathas we need:
Ingredients:
1. Oil/ butter/ ghee: For
roasting paratha
For stuffing
1. Boiled potatoes:
5-6
medium sized
2. Red chili powder: 1 teaspoon
3. Salt: As
per taste
4. Whole coriander seeds (lightly pounded): 1 teaspoon
5. Cumin seeds (lightly pounded): 1 teaspoon
6. Green chilies (optional): 1
7. Fresh coriander leaves: A
bunch
For cover
1. Whole wheat flour: 3
cups
2. Maida (all-purpose flour): 3-4
tablespoons
3. Salt: As
per taste
4. Oil: 3-4
teaspoons
5. Water: 2-3
cups
Method:
1. Mash boiled potatoes in a deep bowl.
2. Add red chili powder, salt, whole coriander
seeds, cumin seeds, chopped green chilies (optional) and chopped fresh
coriander leaves. Mix well. Keep aside.
3. In another bowl add whole wheat flour, maida, salt and oil.
4. Add little water and mix. Don’t add all water
together. Knead well to make soft dough.
5. Make small balls of the flour and roll with rolling pin.
6. Add enough stuffing to the rolled ball. Seal and roll again to make roti.
7. Roast on the griddle using oil or ghee or butter.
8. Serve hot with butter or pickle or yogurt.
Just yummy to start your day. . ..
Happy mornings. Healthy mornings.💓💓💓
