Rum Baba Or Baba Au Rum

Rum Baba Rum Baba – Let’s Dig Into This French Delight !!! In the month of January, while vacationing in Goa, had this amazing dessert called "Rum Baba" at a French restaurant. You may think it's same as Rum Balls. No there is no similarities in both desserts apart from one ingredient that is rum. Rum Baba or Baba Au Rum (French name) is a yeast cake soaked in syrup made with hard liquor, usually rum. It was served to us with whipped cream, strawberry and 30 ml white rum. Yesterday I tried to recreate this dessert with whatever I had in my pantry. Ya presentation of my dessert sucks but trust me it tastes exactly the same or shall I say better 😜. A bit lengthy process though.  So here we go... Ingredients: For baba: 1. Butter:                                                                                           9 tablespoons 2. All-purpose flour:                                                                       2 cups 3. Sugar:

Radish – Carrot Paratha - Simple breakfast for home quarantine days !!!!!

As we all are stuck at our homes, there is very limited physical activity. No gyms, no workouts, no bhagadaudi. At home also eating more than normal and making verities of dishes is the case with me. Today decided to make something simple and healthy. There was radish and carrot lying in the refrigerator for a week. Before it gets bad in quality needed to use it and bingo, I made radish & carrot paratha for the breakfast today.

Recipe is simple:

Ingredients:

1. Radish:                                                                                            1 medium sized

5. Salt:                                                                                                 As per taste
6. Sesame seeds:                                                                               2 teaspoons
7. Whole wheat flour:                                                                      4 cups
8. Oil:                                                                                                  2 tablespoons for making dough + cooking parathas
9. Curd:                                                                                               2 tablespoons
10. Water:                                                                                           To knead
11. Garlic:                                                                                            7-8 cloves
12. Coriander leaves:                                                                        ½ cup

Method:

1. Wash and peel radish and carrot.
2. Grate both the veggies.
