Rum Baba Rum Baba – Let’s Dig Into This French Delight !!! In the month of January, while vacationing in Goa, had this amazing dessert called "Rum Baba" at a French restaurant. You may think it's same as Rum Balls. No there is no similarities in both desserts apart from one ingredient that is rum. Rum Baba or Baba Au Rum (French name) is a yeast cake soaked in syrup made with hard liquor, usually rum. It was served to us with whipped cream, strawberry and 30 ml white rum. Yesterday I tried to recreate this dessert with whatever I had in my pantry. Ya presentation of my dessert sucks but trust me it tastes exactly the same or shall I say better 😜. A bit lengthy process though.  So here we go... Ingredients: For baba: 1. Butter:                                                                                           9 tablespoons 2. Go green with this easy, simple and quick Spinach or Palak Paratha.

After having yesterday's Holi celebration, (overeating actually 😃😃😃) today thought to have light, simple and quick to make palak or spinach paratha for breakfast. They are light as they are not stuffed ones but at the same time very easy and quick to make with almost no prep. .
So to make paratha dough....

Ingredients:

1. Spinach
2. Green chillies
3. Garlic
4. Whole wheat flour
5. Oil
6. Salt
7. Curd or yogurt (if needed)

Method:

1. Make puree of spinach, green chillies and garlic with no to very little water. .
2. In puree add as much whole wheat flour as it can absorb. Add little oil and salt to taste. Don't add water. Knead well. If needed add curd or yogurt. .
3. Roll paratha with rolling pin and cook it on griddle by applying little oil to both the sides.


I have served it with homemade unsalted butter. (Makkhan). It tastes delicious with yogurt or curd. 
Very simple yet powerful breakfast.
